A heating element is activated by squeezing the ends closed and using Starion's PowerPack Dual Control Footswitch. The CardioForceps are powered by Starion's compact Universal Power Supply. Cautery Forceps used extensively for numerous open surgical procedures, the Cautery Forceps are activated by closing the ends and depressing a finger switch located between the arms of the forceps. ENTceps is specifically designed for procedures where fine precision soft tissue cutting and sealing is required, such as tonsillectomy, parotidectomy, thyroidectomy and UPPP. UltraSlim Cautery Forceps is a fine tipped, hand-held surgical instrument for greatest accuracy near and around extremely delicate structures. Ligating Shears Starion Thermal Ligating Shears (STLS) is a single speed hand-activated instrument frequently used for endoscopic procedures. The STLS has a heating element at the tip of the instrument activated by closing the jaws and depressing the finger-switch located on the handle of the device. The STLS is available in three working lengths: 14cm, 23cm and 35cm. Thermal Ligating Shears Second Generation (TLS2) is a two-speed, hand-activated instrument that simultaneously seals and divides soft tissue during open and laparoscopic general surgery procedures. The TLS2 is available in 14cm, 23cm and 35cm, curved jaw configurations and gains surgical access via a standard 5mm trocar. Thermal Ligating Shears Third Generation (TLS3) is Starion’s newest device that features enhanced sealing and dissecting capabilities, a more ergonomic handle design, longer, more tapered jaws, and two-speed finger control for unparalleled performance in open and minimally invasive surgical procedures. Push button operated and powered by the Starion UPS, the ExhalENT is most frequently used for turbinate reductions. Dual Control Footswitch provides variable and high power for Starion Cautery instruments. Used with the Starion UPS, the Footswitch is ergonomically designed and emits an audible low tone for variable power and a high pitch tone when high power is delivered. Universal Power Supply converts AC power from a hospital-grade wall outlet into low voltage DC power required by all Starion's instruments. The Starion UPS is compatible with voltages worldwide.
